In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
